Angela Hamby is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and the owner and operator of Forsythe Family Medical Clinic in Monroe, Louisiana. With a passion for providing personalized, patient-centered healthcare, Angela specializes in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), helping patients achieve optimal health and wellness at every stage of life.
Angela earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Grambling State University and holds advanced certifications as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C). Her extensive clinical experience spans both primary care and emergency medicine, providing her with a unique perspective and expertise in managing a wide range of healthcare needs.
Angela spent more than a decade serving alongside the medical staff for the University of Louisiana at Monroe football program. Her experience working with student-athletes helped develop her passion for preventive care, injury management, performance optimization, and helping individuals achieve their highest level of health and wellness.

As the wife of Ouachita Parish Sheriff Marc Mashaw, she has a deep understanding of the unique physical, emotional, and occupational demands placed on law enforcement officers, firefighters, dispatchers, EMS personnel, corrections officers, and other public safety professionals. She is passionate about supporting those who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving others and is committed to ensuring first responders have access to quality healthcare, preventive services, hormone optimization, and wellness resources that help them perform at their best both on and off duty.
Throughout her career, Angela has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to her patients and community. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she remained on the front lines, keeping her clinic open and accessible to those in need when healthcare services were needed most. Her dedication to serving others earned her the KTVE/KARD Remarkable Woman of the Year 2022.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Angela is a devoted wife and mother who takes great pride in her family. She and Sheriff Marc Mashaw have built their lives around a shared commitment to service and community. Her daughter, Allie Rae, is pursuing a career in healthcare as a Physician Assistant student, while her son, Tate, is a student-athlete playing football for Vanderbilt University. Angela considers her family to be one of her greatest blessings and sources of inspiration.
